Bezeq for Mac

I can say only one thing. Bezeq int. for Internet is, possibly, the
most Mac friendly ISP. This is my experience.

The mac department should be called at
1 800678678
and it is always advisable to mention your client number and to remind
them that you are mac user. It save the usual advise (almost
automatically said: do a restart...).

Jivitel is good!

I've been using Jivitel for both my American phone line and internet, and it
works great! Boruch Hashem, I have not had any problems. The price is also
pretty good.

If you want to get it, the phone number of the guy I ordered it
from is 052-582-7700.

NETSHACK Internet cafe

I was by there today and it is really nice. There are computer stations set
up with Microsoft Office for business applications. They can print black
and white or color copies. There are game stations and also cable TV
available. Their lines are equipped with filters to block access to
undesirable sites.

The place is located in Mercaz Shatner (#3), about four or five doors
down from 'Hobby'. It's called NETSHACK and their number is
(02) 652-7969. I was very impressed. You should go check it out.

012

I have a plan with 012, which is also my internet provider. I pay a few
shekel a month for the ability to call any US number from either my
home phone or my cellphone. I just dial 012 then 1 and the US number;
the calls are automatically billed with my 012 monthly bill. The airtime
is also inexpensive. I love it because it's an option when the VOIP is
down or tied up, and I can call from my cellphone.

Helpful info about internet providers in Israel

Here’s some helpful info about internet providers in Israel (so I can keep it handy too). I have the Hot/Netvision setup with no dialler. I went through Netvision who organized the setup process with Hot. I did some research before selecting an internet provider, but they all ended up being roughly the same price. I’ve heard the good, bad, and ugly about each provider. So, if you’re just starting out and looking to pick an internet provider, the most effective method is to close your eyes, spin your finger around the screen and see which provider it lands on.

(IE disclaimer-sorry most of the sites are in Hebrew, make the call and keep asking until you get an English speaker, sooner or later--you will.)

Netvision: *3031 or 1800-300-301

Barak: *013 or 1800.013.013

Actcom: 1800-300-123

Bezeq: 1800-014-014

Internet Gold(Smile): *2330 or 072-200-3600

Golden Lines: 1801-012-012

Hot: *6900

Nikkom

We are using Nikkom for our VoIP phone. It works fine as long as our son
doesn't attempt to download a movie at the same time. You can even get
around that by ordering a second line and dedicating it to the phone.

Vonage

I am using Vonage on HOT with Bezeqint for an ISP. I found that as long as
you sign up for a decent speed (I have 3.0/278) there is no problem with
either web use or phone quality.
