from Gush Katif to the Golan-great zimmers!
Dear Friends,
My daughter Sarah, a former resident of Gush Katif ,
now relocated in Avnei Eitan, has 2 adorable and
affordable vacation tzimmers (cabins) for your
vacation in the natural beauty of the Golan Hts.
Info & photos: Ein MiKidem Zimmers.
They are situated between 2 amazing waterfalls
in a rural, pastoral setting just above Lake Kinneret,
on a religious moshav with winery and dairy farm.
A family friendly atmosphere with lots of nearby
options for fun and educational experiences,
it's our family's most favorite vacation spot!
Don't miss the profuse natural display of wildflowers
in the Spring!
Please save this information for future use and share
with your friends. View the website and call my
daughter Sarah (Jaffe) Avraham 054-568-4210
for info or to reserve for your next get-away.

Adi Yatir-extraordinary getaway in the South
For anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway in the South, we would
like to recommend Adi Yatir which we recently very much enjoyed.
Located in the village of Shani overlooking the Yattir Forest, just
outside of Arad, it is hard to believe you are 15 minutes from the
desert. The road to Shani passes the well regarded Yattir Winery and
Tel Arad park, then rises to peach, apricot, apple and cherry orchards
as well of hillsides of grapevines. This delightful B &B consists of
two separate houses, each a large zimmer which can sleep up to six (2
in the master bedroom, 2 or 3 in the childrens' room and 2 more in the
living room. There is a full kitchen, two baths and a spa room with a
giant Jacuzzi.
A lavish breakfast is brought to the house at your time
in the morning. The nearby tall pine forest is easily accessible with
picnic benches looking out over a large reservoir.
The ancient site of Shani still contains the well preserved remains
of a Second Temple synagogue where colored Byzantine pottery
shards and pieces of Roman glass can be picked up from the ground.
The accommodating owners, Adi and Tamir will cook dinner for
you or you can bring your own. No restaurants in area. However,
a large gas barbecue grill is located in the stone and floral garden.
For those who observe kashrut, Adi will
provide the dishes and silverware.
In the Summer there is a large
swimming pool easily reachable by foot. We plan a return visit. Their
mobile is 054-6202058 or www.adiyatir.co.il

Halleli's Tzimmer in Hispin
Last year we spent a lovely short vacation at Halleli's Tzimmer in
Hispin (a village in Ramat HaGolan with a swimming pool (separate hours for
men and women in the summer) close to hiking routes and other attractions.
Halleli has 2 side-by-side units, each of which sleeps 4 plus a baby, so it
is appropriate for couples and families.
Simply but cheerfully furnished, the Tzimmers include air conditioning, a
kitchenette with microwave and burner, Shabbat urn and hotplate; satellite
TV and DVD with a selection of movies and, animated cartoons).
Lawn, hammocks, picnic area and barbeque.
To see photos, go to nofeshgolan.googlepages.com/home
For more information call Halleli 050-277-0893
WARNING: THEY GET VERY BOOKED UP FOR BEIN HAZMANIM

Moshav Zipori
check out Moshav Zipori. Their guest cottages were delightful, as was the fresh breakfast delivered to our door. There are many enjoyable activities in the area - and of course, ruins of Tzippori-of-old, where the mishna was written (I think!) and other neat stuff. http://www.zipori.com/

Moshav Dor
Dor Holiday Village
C’far Hanufash Dor
Carmel Beach 30020
639-7180/6399018
18 cottages, 38 igloos
Yalei, who speaks fluently. Took our reservation, and is delightful.
Since it was high season, rates were much more than we expected,
about 900NIS per night for an a/c cottage that sleeps 5. Breakfast
can be included, the hashgacha is not ours, so Yalei took 50 shekels
off our bill each day. Off season, these can be had for around 200NIS,
I have heard. I had checked around Netanya and this was the case
everywhere, so we went for it and were not disappointed.
The cottage was basic but immaculately clean. The a/c, tv and
dud were on when we arrived. There is an upstairs loft with a
double bed, bedside tables with lamps, ample closet space,
mirror, desk & chair. Downstairs holds a single bed and hi-riser,
closet, mirror, kitchenette with fridge, burners and sink, and a
nice sized bathroom. Bathroom towels, sheets and blankets are
provided. You must bring your own beach towels, cooking
utensils and grill if you want.
It is family oriented and quiet at night. The “neighbors” are
couples, families, religious and not. Pets are allowed
to roam free. There is a basic playground. It is a good place
to come with friends or extended family as each can have their
own cottage and share meals and beach time together.
For the best beach view and most privacy, ask for cottage
numbers 46, 52,53 or 54.

Vered HaGalil-rustic & clean
We have gone to Vered Hagalil many times over
the years and we recommend it highly. The cabins
are rustic but nice and clean and the grounds are
lovely. Some cabins have views overlooking the
Kinneret. All of them have yards and lots of things
for the kids. The horses are a real draw and my
grandchildren enjoyed the lessons. We didn't eat
any meals so they reduced our rate. We love it there!

My husband and I stayed at Or Hashachar in the North and liked it very much. It is new, attractive, lovely view and private. No children are allowed there so it is quiet.
