We just made a bat mitzvah and the Kaplans truly out did themselves.
The food was delicious, plentiful and beautiful. The hall looked gorgeous!
Miriam and Zev did everything so calmly- even when there was a last
minute change with our hall,they were able to work it all out with a
smile on their faces. They had an amazing group of kids working for
them, and it was a real pleasure to work with them.

Bagels B'rama-made our simcha their own
Words cannot describe how happy we were with the service
and setup of our son's bris catered by Bagels B'rama.
Steven & Jennifer went out of their way to make sure all were
perfect and called me a gazillion times to make sure
all would be perfect. They treated our Simcha as their own.
Their pricing was beyond fair, and they cleaned up after the bris
leaving the shul cleaner than it was when they got there!!!
I strongly recommend using them for your
simchot!!

Making Shabbos: Artichoke Caterers at the Oriental
For anyone who is not yet aware of this wonderful local option for
shabbattake-out food, I warmly recommend that you pop in to
The Oriental (in Sheinfeld Shopping Center) on a Friday morning
and check out the generous array of available dishes prepared
by Artichoke Caterers.
They have all of the traditional foods - shnitzels, sliced beef, chicken,
fish etc. plus some more interesting options, vegetarian moussaka
and sidedishes etc. and I have found the prices comparable to cooking
it fromscratch. It definitely made my life much easier this Rosh Hashana.
Plus, since it is set up in a help-yourself format, you can select exactly
what you want to buy.
And they add a free challah for purchases over 100 shekels
(or at least they have until now).
Word of warning: If you show up too late most of the food is sold out, so
it's best to arrive around 9-9:30 ish or order beforehand from Itzik at
999-9488

Bonkers Bagels
We were very happy with Bonker's Bagels catering. They were about 10%
cheaper than (the competition,ed.) and tasty berekas came with the basic plan as
well.

The following
recommendations were received for caterers taking orders for Pesach
and close enough to serve the RBS area.
1. "Jerusalem Cuisine" - Hechsher of "OU(P) Israel l'mahedrin" - menu
has been uploaded to the RBS Yahoo Groups file sharing area at:

2. Naomi Catering - Hechsher: "glatt badatz jerusalem & ou israel,
meat sheerit yisrael, fruit, veg and spices are badatz eda shmita
le'chumra." http://www.naomicatering.com/ You can do your entire order online.
3. Dina Leah (Think Catering) (associated with Reishit Genesis Hall)
indicated that they'll be catering for Pesach, but I didn't get any

4. The following email, quoted verbatim, mentions two further options
about which I have no details:
"We have ordered from Chafetz Chaim (kibbutz ) and it was good but
very "heimish". For a more fancy menu try mevushelet from mevo

Chava Berman Catering
CHAVA BERMAN catered out chinese auction this past Thursday
night and she did anoutstanding job. Her tables looked beautiful,
